How to do an Off-line installation of the Windows chat client
This guide gives you the steps to do an Offline installation of Ozeki Chat client. This information is useful if you wish to install the software into an environment where you don't have Internet access, or your corporate firewall policy prevents software to communicate with the Internet. The offline installation is quite simple: you need to download the installation package and follow the instructions on the screen. It is similar to a classic Next...Next...Next... Windows installation procedure.
Step 1 - Download Chat client
The latest release of Ozeki Chat client can be downloaded from the Ozeki Chat download page. To download the installer in compressed format, you need to click on the first OzekiChatClient_x.x.xx.zip link as Figure 1 shows below. We recommend you to always download the latest version. This version always contains all the currently available features and improvements.
Step 2 - Install Chat client
After you extracted the .zip file, please click on the executable file to start the installation process just like in Figure 3.
As soon as you clicked on the .exe file, the installer starts with a welcome screen (Figure 3). All you have to do here is to click Next to continue the installation.
To install Ozeki Chat client on your computer, you must accept the terms of the License Agreement. Please review them then as Figure 4 demonstrates, click 'I Agree' button to continue.
After the installation process is finished to run Ozeki Chat client, just check Run Ozeki Chat client as you can see it on Figure 6 and click Finish.
Step 3 - Login to Chat domain
Now you are able to open the Chat client form the Windows destop with the Chat client icon (Figure 6).
To login to the Chat domain with your Chat user just type the login credentials as you can see on Figure 7 and click OK to start.
Step 4 - Add fiends
You will see that the user is loged in tho the Chat domain. Currently it has no friends. You can search for and add new users to your list using the Add button (Figure 8).
In the Find friends page you can search for friends by name or even domain name. From the list click the Add button next to every user you wish to add to your list (Figure 9).
Step 5 - Send first messages
Now you can see your friends in the contact list. To start chatting click it's name in the list and a new chat window will appear. From the Chat window you are able to chat with your friend as you can see in the Figure 10.
Step 6 - How to send file
To send a file in the conversation, click on the attachment icon and then click on the gray area to brows the file you want to send from the file system (Figure 11).
Then in the popup window, select the appropriate file and click the Open button (Figure 12).
You can see that the file will be uploaded to the server and you can send it to your friend by pressing the Send button (Figure 13).
Finally, you can see that the file will be sent to the other party as you can see in the Figure 14.
