What is GSM8K?
GSM8K, or the "Grade School Math 8K," is a dataset specifically designed for evaluating the performance of AI models in solving mathematical word problems typically encountered in grade school. It consists of around 8,000 math problems that require various arithmetic operations, reasoning, and comprehension skills to solve. The dataset aims to challenge models' abilities not only to perform calculations but also to understand the context of the problems and apply logical reasoning. GSM8K is often used to benchmark and improve the capabilities of language models in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving tasks.
